Entry Requirements
US citizens visiting Canada are now required to provide a valid passport. Previously, a US citizen could enter Canada with proof of citizenship, a valid passport, or a driver's license together with a birth certificate. However, with the recent changes in customs regulation, a passport is the only reliable document for crossing the Canadian border. If you are visiting Canada from any other country, a valid passport is a must have. Residents of certain countries may also be required to get a visa to enter Canada. Languages
French is the official Language of Montreal, but most Montreal residents speak both English and French.
