Montreal’s Chinatown is considered a tourist area. Because of this special consideration, many of the establishments in Chinatown are opened well into the night. Tourists and locals often stroll into Chinatown’s animated nightlife, which features many restaurants that are open late into the night.

Rue de La Gauchetière

The heart and soul of Montreal’s Chinatown is rue de La Gauchetière. The parts of this street that pass through Chinatown has been converted into a pedestrian-only walkway that features various stores and street merchants. During the summer months, several outdoor fairs are held on this street.
