La Ronde Rides
La Ronde is a great amusement park with many roller coasters and plenty of rides. The Orbit provides some breathtaking views of Montreal; The Monster (Le Monstre) is the tallest wooden roller coaster in the world at more than 40 meters high. Other great rides include Le Vampire and Le Cobra.
Events at La Ronde
Various events and exhibitions are held at La Ronde, with the most popular being L’International des Feux Loto-Quebec, which is fireworks spectacular that is held every year during the summer. During the Halloween period, Fright Fest is offered at La Ronde. Fright Fest is an event offered by all parks owned by Six Flags that features special shows and features to celebrate Halloween.
General Information About La Ronde
The Admission price for La Ronde is quite cheap, when compared to other North American amusement parks (approximately CA$45). And unlike many other amusement parks, La Ronde contains many restaurant franchises like Subways and McDonald’s so your choice for food is quite varied. The food at La Ronde is pretty cheap. La Ronde also contains local Quebec cuisine like Queu de Castor (Beaver Tales).
Critics of La Ronde
La Ronde isn’t without its flaws. Many visitors complain that the lineups for the rides are often quite long. A solution for long lineup for rides is waiting to ride the attractions at night when the lines tend to be shorter.
La Ronde’s Newest Ride
In 2010, A new high-speed rollercoaster named Ednor was recently unveiled. The coaster, which suspends riders, makes five inversions and travels at 90 kilometers an hour.
