Montreal’s Heavy MTL is a heavy metal music festival that takes place in Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau at Île Saint-Hélène. Heavy MTL is a two-day heavy metal and hard rock festival. The goal of the festival is to make Montreal a top destination for fans of all things loud, intense and heavy. Started in 2008, the initial festival drew a crowd of 36,000 people.
