French Music From Quebec and All Over the World

The FrancoFolies is a great celebration of French Music from Quebec and all over the world. The festival features approximately 250 concerts with thousands of songwriters, composers, musicians and vocalists from all over the world. There are around 180 free outdoor performances and 7 outdoor stages. Its no wonder why the festival is held in North-America’s largest French-speaking city.

Paid and Free Concerts at the FrancoFolies

The FrancoFolies de Montréal features many paid indoor shows and approximately 200 free outdoor concerts throughout Montreal’s downtown area. Many of the shows are located between Place-des-Arts Metro and St. Laurent Metro. The main metro for many of the outdoor concerts is Place-des-Arts Metro. Many of the free concerts are held in pedestrian-only sections of downtown around the Place-des-Arts area.

Over 20 Years of FrancoFolies

The FrancoFolies de Montréal should not to be confused with with Les Francofolies de Spa and Les Francofolies de La Rochelle, which are two other music festivals that occur in France. The Montreal Francofolies is an annual event that has been taking place for over 20 years in Montreal. The first edition of the FrancoFolies de Montréal was held in 1989.
